GOF advises shareholders of Kapten & Son Group on the sale of a minority stake to Ardian Growth

Munich, March 10, 2021 - Ardian Growth has acquired a significant minority stake in Kapten & Son GmbH. Gütt Olk Feldhaus provided legal advice on the transaction to the founders Fabian Deventer, Johannes Theobald and Artjem Weißbeck, who remain shareholders. For Ardian Growth it is the first investment in Germany.

 

Kapten & Son, founded 2014 in Cologne, Germany, has established itself as a leading supplier of backpacks, watches, eyewear and other accessories in the lifestyle sector with currently about 150 employees.

 

Together with Ardian, Kapten & Son intends to continue the growth of the past years with a special focus on expanding its market position in other European countries.

 

Ardian Growth is the growth equity investment arm of Ardian, a leading private equity investment company based in Paris. Ardian manages total assets of more than USD 110 billion.
