Munich, December 21, 2018 – Gütt Olk Feldhaus advised Mast-Jägermeister SE on the acquisition of two distribution companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia from the French spirits producer Rémy Cointreau.
Jägermeister could quintuple its sales in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the last years. The acquisition of the distribution companies with approx. 80 employees is further strengthening Jägermeister's position in the two fast growing markets.
Rémy Cointreau is a long standing distribution partner of Mast-Jägermeister SE in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Upon consummation of the transaction, which is still subject to approval by the competent antitrust authorities, the distribution companies will not only distribute Jägermeister, but also continue to distribute the brands of Rémy Cointreau in these markets.
After the successful investment in GIN SUL, the first investment of Mast-Jägermeister SE in an external spirits brand in the history of the company, this is already the second transaction on which Gütt Olk Feldhaus has advised Mast-Jägermeister SE this year.
